    In the UK, G.I. Joe was known as "Action Force". A fifty-issue weekly series was published by Marvel's UK division in 1987-1988. The series reprinted stories from the US series and added new, shorter stories to each issue. Later, a series featuring new stories, Action Force Monthly, premiered and was simultaneously published in America, under the title G.I. Joe: European Missions. The series only lasted 15 issues, but it gave US readers a glimpse of how the Joes were seen by fans across the ocean. For more information on the various series of Action Force comics, click here.
