MIRAGE. The code name used by U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Joseph R. Baikun, from Molsen, Washington. Mirage is a weapons expert, specialized in everything from small arms to shoulder-fired rockets, and he trains soldiers in the proper use of various weapons. Mirage served with the G.I. Joe team on a small number of missions shortly before the team was shut down in 1994. He was later called back to join the reinstated Joes, eventually joining in their battle against the forces of a revived Serpentor on Cobra Island.(GIv2 23, 25, 34-36; Figures: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
